Colavita Italian Center Culinary Institute
of America: Hyde Park, New York

The LA Group provided comprehensive site design services for a new $6 million Italian food and wine center. The 18,000 square foot structure replicates traditional Tuscan architecture and is surrounded by a greenhouse and organic vegetable and herb gardens.

Situated adjacent to the CIA’s main building, Roth Hall, the Center contains the relocated Catherine Medici Restaurant, a production kitchen and enoteca at the piazza level. The garden level contains a Continuing Education kitchen and classrooms. Founded in 1946, The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) is an independent, not-for-profit college offering degrees in culinary, baking and pastry arts.
