Town of Malta, NY

The Town of Malta is a small town of 12,500 that has made a commitment to its citizens to protect their quality of life by providing innovative and creative facilities, programs and services designed to meet the diverse needs of their residents.

The LA Group has worked with the Town of Malta for several years to help them achieve their “small town quality of life” goals. The LA Group helped the Town conduct a Parks, Recreation & Open Space Vision for the future of the Town of Malta. The ultimate goal of the strategy was the improvement and enhancement of the open space qualities that make Malta unique in a manner that is consistent with the community’s desires.

A direct result of that study was the creation of 188 acres of open space parkland for the Town of Malta Ecological Park. The purpose of the project was to achieve a Master Plan that provided additional recreational opportunities for the community while preserving the site’s abundant natural resources.

Also In keeping with the Town’s goals of providing quality of life services for its residents, The LA Group provided comprehensive site analysis, planning, design and engineering for construction of a new community center located in the historic town. The Center offers programs that help make Malta a wonderful place to live, work, and play.
