Residential / Commercial Services
Congress Park Centre: Saratoga Springs, New York
The project will ultimately consist of 400,000 sq. ft. of mixed-use space on an urban block in a prime downtown location. Until 1952, the site was occupied by the Grand Union Hotel, but later became the location of a strip mall. The visibility of the structure as a prominent feature in the community serves as an example of how to successfully incorporate urban infill development into a historic setting.
The LA Group provided site master planning, design, environmental analysis, permitting, and preliminary engineering. Our scope of services included securing local approvals and zone changes, as well as public presentations to garner local support. The project won an Outstanding Planning Award from the American Planning Association for Implementation Planning.
