The LA Group received a Merit Award from the New York Upstate Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) for its outstanding professional achievement on the Campus Green project for the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The project also received national recognition, being featured on the cover of Landscape Architect and Specifier News magazine which is distributed nationwide.
The Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS) and The LA Group embarked on an ambitious initiative to enhance students’ educational, social, and recreational experience by creating the Campus Green, a vibrant outdoor gathering hub designed to foster both intellectual growth and overall well-being of students throughout their academic journey. The LA Group successfully collaborated with JMZ Architects on the campus master plan for the genesis of the Campus Green concept. The LA Group proceeded to lead the site design while teaming with Page Architects on the detailed design plans that brough that vision to fruition.
The project was reviewed by a jury of landscape architecture professionals and selected to receive the Merit Award because the project represented “significant quality, innovation, and professional impact.”
“This project showcases The LA Group’s ability to guide projects seamlessly from the visionary master planning phase through construction and implementation,” said Robert Kernan, RLA, Associate Principal and project lead for the Campus Green project. “The success of this project is a testament to our comprehensive skillset and experience.
